It is a great honor to be the Volunteer Director for The Love Yourself Project. This organization has meant a great deal to me over the years, as I have learned what it means to Love yourself. We have been ding community outreach, creating art workshops for young people, and people in retirement communities for the past seven years! We have encouraged people to Love who they are for being their true brilliant selves!

Vibrations II

The Living Gallery

Saturday, September 23rd, 2017 - 7PM

Vibrations II, a fundraising event for The Love Yourself Project will be taking place at The Living Gallery (1094 Broadway, Brooklyn, NY 11221) during Bushwick Open Studios on Saturday, September 23rd 2017.

This event brings together an eclectic mix of artists and performers to celebrate self-love through an exhibition and performances, in a festive party atmosphere. Co-Chaired by Richard Burroughs (aka DJ Dick at Nite) and Charlotte Mouquin (Voznesenskaya) this event will begin with an intimate VIP hour, followed by DJ Dick at Nite with intermittent live art performances by Mario Galeano, rap and beatbox with Jean Marc Richardson, the R &B vocals of Anya Richardson, and a special performance by Nyssa Frank, owner and founder of The Living Gallery.

Currently there is an open call for visual artists to exhibit at The Living Gallery September 22nd – 24th during the Bushwick Open Studio weekend. This exhibition, curated by Charlotte Mouquin and Richie Richardson, emphasizes self-empowerment and explores what it means to love yourself. The exhibition will be open to the public during the day, with a public reception on Friday, September 22nd from 6-9pm and an artist discussion and BBQ on Sunday, September 23rd from 2-5pm. The Love Yourself Project is a 501(c)(3) non-profit, volunteer based, arts and education organization providing community programs that promote self-awareness, self-acceptance, self-esteem and skill building. It is our belief that with a strong relationship to the self, every individual can contribute to a future with loving regard for all living beings and the environment. The Love Yourself Project has created programming to include workshops, art exhibitions, and community events geared towards individuals of all ages, cultures and socioeconomic backgrounds. The Love Yourself Project promotes healing through self-love.

The host committee: Ashley Barad, Galina Barbascumpa, Luiza Cardenuto, Katie Cercone, Nyssa Frank, Clarence Fruster, Mario Galeano, Vivian Hu, Elizabeth McBride, and Michael Mut.

General Admission Tickets include food, drinks, music, and performance starting at 8pm for $25. VIP Tickets include a special preview of the exhibition, raffle tickets, and early 7pm access for $40. All proceeds are tax-deductible donations to directly support The Love Yourself Project.
